Bicycle Repairs and Servicing
At Freewheelers Bicycle Workshop we offer bicycle repairs and services.
If you are experiencing problems with your bicycle you can bring it to the workshop and we'll check it for free.
All the repairs at Freewheelers are carried out by Cytech 2 qualified mechanics.
How it works
Bring your bicycle to the workshop, we will check it for you, give you an estimate and, if you're happy to go ahead, we'll give you a date when the bicycle will be ready.
At busy times we may not be able to get on with the repair or service straight away, but we'll give you a date when you can bring the bike in (if you want to take it away to keep cycling) and a collection time and date. You can also ring us before bringing your bicycle in and we can give you an indication of how busy we are, so that you can bring your bike in just in time for us to start the repair.
Prices
We will give you an estimate (as accurate as possible) of how much the repairs and new parts (if needed) would cost. Below there's a list of prices for the most common repairs, to give you an idea of how much repairs will cost you. Any other repairs or services are charged at an hourly rate of £18.
Transparency is really important to us and so we will always keep you informed of the running repair costs should anything else come up that we would not have been able to forsee, which, unfortunatley, happens every now and then.

(*) New Inner and Outer Cables are not included in this price. The prices for installing new innner and outer cables when installing new rear sprockets and chain are:
- £25 if changing front or back inner and outer cables
- £30 if changing both front and back inner and outer cables
(**) A Full Service includes:
- Headset - service or replace
- Bottom Bracket - service or replace
- Wheels - true, service hubs, repalce parts where necessary
- Handle Bars and Stem - check and grease
- Seat and seat post - check and grease
- Check and replace all inner and outer cables, if necessary
- Service and adjust brakes and brake blocks
- Drive Train (rear sprockets, front chain rings, chain and derrailleurs) - check for wear and performance and adjust.
Dr. Bike
We offer Dr. Bike services for schools, community groups and other institutions. Please get in touch for our rates.
