Second Hand Bikes
One of the most common barriers to people cycling is access to good quality affordable bicycles.
This is why we aim to refurbish second hand bikes to a good standard, whilst also trying to keep prices affordable.
Recycling bicycles also helps reduce the amount of bicycles that end up in landfill.
All our second hand bicycles have been refurbished by Cytech 2 qualified mechanics following British standards guidelines.
Some of our second hand bikes might seem expensive when compared to very low cost new bikes. This is because even though we aim to use second hand parts and reuse as much as possible, often we have to buy new parts; and because often the frame and components on very low cost new bikes are not necessarily of good quality. We also need to pay for the labour that goes into bringing the bikes to a safe standard.
If you invest in a second hand bike and keep it maintained then a good quality frame (and its components) can last you for years and years.

Donate a bicycle
If you'd like to donate a bicycle please drop it in during opening hours (including Tool Club hours) or if these don't suit you get in touch and we'll aim to arrange an alternative time or to collect it. All bicycles are welcome! (even those which are unfit for riding can be a good source of second hand parts).
